Broker's Comments

In their day, these Moody 36 DS models were impressive passage-making boats, seaworthy and with bags of space.

This one has suffered as the owner has been too ill to maintain the boat recently so the interior needs a lot of refurbishment.

The good news is that it has a fine Beta engine and new batteries.

The rigging appears sound and I detected no sponginess in the decks.

With fore and aft cabins, the two heads needs replacing and a new fridge in the spacious galley it could make very comfortable living space.

The exterior is clean and the sails have been stored, once it was known the owner would not be returning to his boat.

So it is a project boat which could be magnificent when returned to its former glory.

The boat was last surveyed in 2018. A new survey would establish what needs to be done since.
